Enchanted jewelry is quite the commodity in Equinox. These small trinkets can do much for one's self esteem (or stats!) Finding just the piece you are looking for can be difficult as they are only player made. Namely tinkers are able to work the fine metals and stones into these elegant pieces. Your effort in finding one able to create these marvelous treasure and gold paid will be well spent. There is a piece to make every lady's eyes sparkle and excite every man. What else can lay claim to such boasts?

Making the Magic

Gold ingots, gems, and obsidian will be needed for this undertaking as well as a very proficient skill in the trade of Tinkering. To attain gold ingots, smelt 100 gold coins. The 100 gold coins will make for one ingot. The gold ingots must be used to make the jewelry. The jewelry made in local shops will not be of high enough quality for enchanted jewelry no matter how convincing the NPCs seem. While making the jewelry, the option will be presented as to which gem to set in the piece. The gem selected will yield different qualities than it's fellows.

Once the jewelry has been finished, gem and all, the work has only begun. Making use of your tinker's toolkit, select the jewelry. You will need both the jewelry and the obsidian in your top pack for an attempt to be made. It is not only your tinkering skill that will come into question, but your understanding of magic. If you fail, you will lose it all. The jewelry and the obsidian along with the gem that was set into the jewelry. If you suceed to any degree you will have an enchanted piece of
jewelry.

In order to use the jewelry you must first identify it. When you identify it, you will use your understanding of magic to detect the magic contained within the gem. The magic within will either help you to feel more intelligent, stronger, or more dextrous. You may your facilities improved a little bit or you may feel it improved a great deal. (See below for name explanations.)

If the jewelry does not impress you with its aid, another attempt can always be made to bolster the magic within if the gem is not at its highest potential already.(See below for maxium boosts!) To do this, use your tinker's tools on the jewelry again while having obsidian handy. Each attempt is another chance for the jewelry to break however, and the pieces must be treated gingerly.
