Mana Stones

Mana stones are a creation of tinkering and magic melded together, much as with enchanted jewelry. With a mana stone, even a person with next to no magical aptitude can transform magical items. A mana stone acts as a conduit for magic, namely the magical properties in an item. There are some limitations, however you can take the magical properties from a magical piece of equipment and bestow them upon an item that a player has made that is without any magic. Magic Transfer Restrictions To transfer magical properties from one weapon to another, they must both be of the same type. If the weapon that is enchanted is a two-handed weapon, then the only weapon that can receive it's magical properties via mana stone is another two-handed weapon. They need not be the exact same weapon in name but they must be the same type. Armor is much the same in this way. If the enchanted armor is a shield then the item to receive the magical properties from the original must also be a shield. They need not both be bucklers but they must both be shields. They must be armor that protects the same area of the body. There are two other restrictions involved in the transfer of magical properties. The non-magical item that is to receive the magical properties via mana stone must be of exceptional quality. The magical item you wish to take the magical properties from must already be identified via your magery prowess and must not have undergone this process before. This is a one shot deal. The magic can only be moved once because it will dissapate. Magical Success In the case of a weapon, when the magic within is transferred to another weapon, the original weapon will be destroyed. In this way the magic is free to enter into the weapon of your choosing. In the case of armor it is a bit more complicated. The magic will be transferred to the armor of your choosing and the newly magicked item will retrain its appearance and color but it will be forever changed. It will now have the magical properties of the original magical item along with it's AR and strength requirements. Creating a Mana Stone To make your own mana stone you will need an elixer potion, a gold bar, 10 star sapphires, and your trusty tinker tools. You must use your tinker's tools on the elixer potion. Attaining an elixer potion will not be an easy feat without the assistance of a very skilled alchemist. The alchemist will need a mortar, heating stand, 1 wyrmheart, and 1 diamond. This will create the elixer potion necessary for a mana stone. The gold bar is simple to make. 100 gold coins must be smelted over a forge and 1 gold bar will be produced. There is no way to manufacture star sapphires. They must be found as they are a natural resource. |
