Deep within every creature that walks the Equinox runs the blood of Aeonleece save for the Humans and Lycans. Even those that do not possess some of her life giving blood are endowed with a part of her. For this reason, Praneel was driven to madness. It was his jealousy that these inferior creatures forever have his beloved when she was lost to him. Due to this divine heritage, all are blessed with even the basest of magical ability. There are some who may snub at magic and refuse its use, but all are able to perform the simplest of tasks as is their birthright. The act of using the natural magic found within all is called Sorcery.
While sorcery is not overly powerful it does serve its purposes. As common magic it has common uses, such as making day to day life a little easier if you are able to use it properly. Some may seek to use sorcery as a stepping stone to delve into the more advanced circles of magery. To advance to one of the specialized schools, one must first gain a deep understanding of sorcery and the discipline to control it properly. Sorcery is the gateway through which all other magic may be harnessed.
